“The place I occupy will move with me, it will not be static.”
The work My Home was born in conjunction with the research the emergence of the need to define the concept of home, to search for the meaning
of inhabiting one’s presence in the absent. This work is the result of video interference that fragments the body that is performing the action ofdance, My Home is the act of being present but at the same time absent in the at the same time absent in the places where I live and inhabit.
The home as a fluid body belongs to me, it does not have a precise location it lives in the presence of every movement present.
Movement, disappearance and appearance is the continuous mutation of the consciousness in search of its own identity.
Flowing state
In the video, the artist’s dancing body transforms into a drawing, accentuating the contours that mirror their movements within a room.
This concept is connected to the project ‘My Home,’ where the body takes on a smaller scale, moving in a continuous flow of presence and absence. The pursuit of belonging to both a physical place and one’s own body follows a mantra that seeks to maintain a stable equilibrium amid the ever evolving quest for identity.
